Deforestation is a problem because it contributes to global warming, ravages the natural landscape, and kills animals. With less trees, less carbon dioxide is being taken out of the environment, as well as less oxygen being put in. When deforestation takes place, hundreds of thousands of trees are taken down, which destroys the natural landscape. Not only is the landscape destroyed, but so are animals’ homes. The animals that live in these areas usually die because they have nowhere to live, or are killed during the actual deforesting. How would you like it if a giant monster came and knocked down every building in Chicago? That is how the animals that live in these areas feel. Killing trees is not the answer.
